How could I make a change?

Question

I'm always talking about how our government is corrupt, and how we need to make a change, but in the end I'm not really doing anything to make a positive change in our world. Except for on May 25th I'm going to march against Monsanto. What else could I start doing to help?

The foundations of this question are kind of, uh, questionable (making positive changes in the world, for example!) but I feel like this is a totally earnest post. I'm not going to provide an answer right now but I might later.
