I was having a conversation with my friends about how I didn't stand up for the flag salute. I told him I will not stand up for someone else's beliefs. One of them responded with "really you just cant stand up? Its only like 10 seconds. It's not like you even have to say the pledge of allegiance. I just stand up, and think of other things instead of the pledge of allegiance. Its just to show some type of respect. You know America at least gives you the option if you don't like it here you could leave unlike other places."

You pick your own fights. Fight silently or fight defiantly -- the choice is yours for when and where, against whom, and why.
