Is the matrix reloaded a stupid movie, or does it hold significance for you as an anarchist?

Question

I recently bought the matrix reloaded again on DVD because I remember how my friend told me I didn't like it "because I didn't understand it" something like 10 years ago. However, watching it now and paying close attention to the details makes it obvious why I couldn't pay attention to it...

Part of me basically feels like it's a nonsensical comic book of existentialist questions with stereotypical hero plot setup, part of me feels like it's a wierd hodgepodge of totalitarian and anarchist thought (self sacrifice to defeat technology?!) I haven't watched the whole thing yet.

my short answer (i plan to elaborate more later)....the original matrix movie holds significance for me...the matrix reloaded seemed stupid.

yeah, i remember being all impressed with the first one, (just finished downloading!)

this isn't really the problem with matrix reloaded, but also they set up the sequence midstream right at the beginning of the movie so it's hard to get sucked into

Is this the last one or the middle one? I think I saw all of them, but all of them suck. They tell us a story based very much in messianic traditions wherein a savior (Neo - who for the purposes of this conversation I will call "Johnny Utah") is enlightened and then sets out on a course of setting all things right. Agent Utah doesn't grapple with the dirty reality of life, he lives in a fictional world where some rebels (basically apostles) have learned some coding and can facilitate their jesus-figure into being unstoppable.

Not particularly anarchist.
