Is libertarian Socialism a form of anarchism?

I've only ever heard "libertarian socialism" used synonymously with anarchism, not as a separate idea. Some people prefer the term for whatever reason - sometimes because they feel as though the word "anarchism" carries an image or implication that they'd rather avoid.

I've also heard it used sometimes by socialist folks that aren't committed to a particular label and don't see much point in working 'within the system' or as part of a revolutionary party.
