I was wondering this recently. Ted Kaczynski could be considered an anarchist, though I don't know if he ever identified as one himself. And I know that some recent people to do the "I've had it" act of public violence (Marvin Heeymeyer, Clay Duke, Joe Stack, James Lee) have had at least some anarchist ideas or influences mixed into their manifestos and statements. But when was the last time anyone was killed in the U.S. by a fully informed participant in the anarchist movement that openly connected that act of violence with anarchism? Last I know of was Mayor Cermak in Chicago (early 30s) but I feel like it has to have been something more recent than that.

Andrew McCrae an Olympia, WA anarchist.

He killed a cop in Red Bluff and posted a communique on indybay.org. He shot the officer right after the police killed an older man at Bayview Thriftway. If you have ever read Recipes for Disaster there is a part about the police murder of the "Shoplifter" and an anarchist response to it in the section "Hijacking Events".

While he identified as an anarchist, I'm not sure his communique mentions anarchy but it really hates on states and corporations.
