Theoretical Basis for anarchism?

I'm not sure what this question means. it's so under-specified that I don't know if I believe that the person asking it is planning to hold up their end of the conversation. do they know what they're asking? do they have a reason for asking? are they even going to read the answers? not to say that it couldn't be an interesting question, but it doesn't really motivate me to answer it yet...

I agree. This might be a really fun question to explore, as there are a lot of different things that could be seen as precursors to anarchism, but as it stands, I have no interest in trying to answer such a broad question without more information.
